An offshoot of Le Deuxième Regard, the 5050×2020 pledge strives for better gender representation and transparency by the year 2020. It was first introduced at the Cannes Film Festival in 2018, following the march up the red carpet by women from across the world.

CINEFEMME

Cinefemme is the only non-profit 501-c3 charity in Hollywood -and outside the East Coast- that exclusively fiscally sponsors and incubates projects by diverse women filmmakers. We are committed to diversifying the entertainment and film industries through the empowerment of our own community of female-identified artists.

FILM FATALES

Film Fatales supports an inclusive community of women feature film and television directors who meet regularly to share resources, collaborate on projects and build an environment in which to make their films.

FINISH LINE FEATURES

Finish Line Features, LLC produces cause-based feature documentary films. Our films tell stories that raise awareness of pressing societal issues. Our goal is to educate and motivate our audience to take action.

Kali Films is a film and multi media production company engaged in the creation and business of making feature films, documentaries, and music videos that are entertaining, thought provoking, and aesthetically stunning.

REEL STORIES

Camp Reel Stories believes that when women and girls are better represented behind the scenes in the media, they will be better reflected on the screen. Camp Reel Stories is a non-profit organization that empowers young women with the skills to create their own media, to view current media critically and thoughtfully, and to aspire to leadership in their field.

REFRAME

Fifty Hollywood leaders and influencers, including studio heads, agency partners, senior network executives, talent and guild representatives have come together with Women In Film and Sundance Institute to create a formal action plan to further gender parity in the media industry. ReFrame builds on four years of research in collaboration with the Media, Diversity and Social Change Initiative at USC Annenberg and an October 2015 convening of this group. Our unique strategy involves a peer-to-peer approach, in which ReFrame Ambassador teams engage senior industry decision-makers.

THE REPRESENTATION PROJECT

Using film and media as catalysts for cultural transformation, The Representation Project inspires individuals and communities to challenge limiting gender stereotypes and shift norms. Jennifer Siebel Newsom founded The Representation Project (a 501c3) in 2011 in response to the overwhelming public demand for ongoing education and social action in support of her first film, Miss Representation. Since then, The Representation Project has released Newsom’s second directorial film, The Mask You Live In, and become well known for creating popular campaigns such as #NotBuyingIt, #AskHerMore, and #RepresentHer.

The Annenberg Inclusion Initiative is the leading think tank in the world studying diversity and inclusion in entertainment through original research and sponsored projects. Beyond research, the Annenberg Inclusion Initiative develops targeted, research-based solutions to tackle inequality.
